Adolph of man (* 27. July 1826 in Aachen; "† 9 December 1903 in Berlin) was a German entrepreneur and banker.

The son David of Hans man became 1857 member of the management of the Disconto society created by its father; after its death 1864 it alone and most successfully led the society.

1870/1871 strove Hans man for the financing of the French-German war. Probably to the thanks for it it was ennobled 1872.

Hans man was involved in various industriellen enterprises and became one of the wealthiest men of the German Reich. Its special attention applied the Kolonisation: like that its enterprises were active in German southwest Africa and China, it were a chairman of the new Guinea company. In Dortmund the bill Adolf was designated from Hans man to it.

It possessed particularly in the east of Germany and let on a manor-house (Dwasieden) build. The whole region was modernized by its money around Sassnitz.

Politically Adolph of Hans man - contrary to his liberal father David - belonged to the conservative one around Bismarck.

It was married with Ottilie, born of Kusserow, which engaged itself for the women's movement.

Its son Ferdinand of Hans man (* 10 September 1861; "† 3 October 1900) promoted settling the Polish inhabited parts of Prussia by Germans.
