Amschel Mayer Rothschild (* 1773; "† 1855) were the oldest son of the dynasty founder Mayer Amschel Rothschild. He transferred the principal firm of the Rothschild bank after the death of his father to Frankfurt/Main. Frankfurt remained also the general meeting place of the family divided into five branches.
