The bank by Namibia BvN (English: Bank OF Namibia) is the central bank of Namibia and operates thereby the currency and monetary policy for the Namibia dollar.

The bank of Namibia was created 1998 and is administered by an executive committee of the directors. This consists of the governor, the deputy governor, the permanent envoy of the Treasury, a member of the public service and four further representatives of the public.

The bank operates a branch in Oshakati; the head office of the bank is in Windhuk.
