The bank of Spain (Spanish: Banco de ) is the central bank of Spain and as such part European system of the central banks.

The management of the bank of Spain is regulated in a 'autonomy law. It exists as follows:

• the governor
• the deputy governor
• the governing governor and
• the central bank commission.

The governor is appointed by the Spanish king.
