Blessed man shop castle (* 9 December 1797 in Mannheim; "† 25 November 1873 in Mannheim) was owner of the banking house "„W.H. shop castle & sons "“and important Finanzmagnat in Mannheim.

Family

Shop castle came of to a well-known Jewish family of Mannheim and was the son of the banker wolf shop castle (1766-1851), founders of the "“banking house shop castle"”, and the Wilhelmine Lorch (1770-1845) made of Mainz.

He married 1823 Julie Goldschmidt on 15 October (* 10. May 1800 in Kassel; "† 4 September 1859 in Mannheim) from Kassel, daughter of the Samson Ruben Goldschmidt ("† April 1841) and the Henriette Feidel.

Its successor as owners of the banking house was his son Carl shop castle (1827-1909), honour citizens of the city Mannheim.

Blessed man shop castle was the older brother of the lawyer and political economist Dr. Leopold shop castle (1809-1889).

Life

After the attendance of the Mannheimer Lyzeums - it had been Adolph Diesterwegs pupil - shop castle occurred promptly the paternal banking house. In its wedding year 1823 he became partner of the bank. Due to its analytic evaluation ability, his initiative and business soundness he won fast general attention in financial circles, why it became after the death of the father (1851) and the two older brothers the head of the banking house.

He was - together with five other members of the shop castle family, under it also his brother Dr. Leopold shop castle - joint founder and president of the "“aniline and Soda-Fabrik of Baden"” BASF in Ludwigshafen, whose founders' meeting took place in March 1865 in its private house, and joint founders and Direktionsmitglied of the Ludwig course. Shop castle had become one of the most influential personalities of the Mannheimer economics.

To its 70. Birthday (1867) it created "„the blessed man, Julie and Leopold shop castle donation "“with a capital of 30,000 guldens. The purpose of the donation was, needy inhabitants of Mannheim, who were undeservedly come into emergency to help by a donation price.
