Comdirect the bank corporation is a direct bank with seat, belonging to the Commerzbank company, in Quickborn.

It was created 1994 as a direct bank daughter of the Commerzbank under the company comdirect bank GmbH. After reaching the break even point 1998 the bank firmierte 1999 into a corporation over and 2000 at the new market was noted.

In the context of the in the years 2000 and 2001 opened comdirect several foreign subsidiary companies, among other things in Great Britain, France and Italy, which were sold or liquidated up to 2004 all again with loss. Only the foreign subsidiary company in Great Britain could be repelled of comdirect with profit.

The bank has at present approx. 720,000 customers. The executive committee consists of Dr. Andre Carl and Karin Katerbau. The Commerzbank keeps 79.85% of the portions on comdirect, the remaining pieces is in the strewing possession.
