Consors was created 1994 from at that time 25-year old Karl Schmidt, the son of the family Schmidt, which was until November 2001 owner of the renowned German private bank of the same name SchmidtBank.

2003 were taken over Consors of the BNP Paribas and led with the French daughter Cortal, a direct bank, under the new name Cortal Consors S.A. The Germany address is in Nuremberg. In the year 2005 it was decided that the coworkers are to be folded up on a new building in Nuremberg. The coworkers are to be able to refer at the end of of 2006 the new building in the proximity of the station.

Cortal Consors was in the year 2004 of Germany a "“broker of the yearly"”. The plant and depot ability amounted to end of 2004 18.6 billion "€, with which the enterprise 2004 obtained an increase of over 30%. The operational result amounted to 28.3 millions "€ (+ 124%).
