Agricole SA (CASA) is one of the largest business banks in France and Europe and is considered as the fourth largest of the world.

Agricole is a halbgenossenschaftliche bank. It belongs to 43 French Caisses de Agricole Mutuel. It belongs however also to the shareholders.

Market operational readiness level

While the Caisses covers the rural area fully, the Lyonnais possesses a large market operational readiness level in the large cities. This combination lends a prominent market share in many parts of the French territory to the group.

Agricole is come out from the fusion of the Banque de l'Indochine with the Banque de Suez to the Banque Indosuez. Agricole bought the Banque Indosuez under the name Indosuez, while the water supply enterprise under the name Compagnie de Suez was from which by a number of further fusions the today's Suez company became. Thus Agricole has also in the former French territories of Asia an excellent market operational readiness level.

The goal of the group is the development of a strong market operational readiness level in different other European markets by the acquisition of participation in district banks in other countries.
