David Justus Ludwig Hans man (* 17 September 1790 in Finkenwerder with Hamburg; "† 4 August 1864 in queue bath) was a Prussian politician and banker.

Life

Hans man was son of a Protestant minister. Starting from 1817 and led he created different enterprises in Aachen, under it the predecessor company the Aachen native of Munich, which is today part of the AMB Generali. Into the 1820er and 1830er years came he in such a way to large wealth. Its effort around the well-being being issued of its employees and his readiness for generous donations were unusual. 1821 he married Fanny Fremery, which originated from a French Huguenot family.

The Prussian "“March Ministry"” (29. To 20 June 1848) under Gottfried Ludolf Camphausen it belonged to March as a Minister of Finance. It kept this post also in the following cabinet under Rudolf from Auerswald to its resignation on 8 September 1848.

The noble elite of Prussia Hans man was much too liberal; its 1833 published and subtly critical book "“Prussia and France"” and different memoranda from the 1840er years let be considered it there as dangerous radicals. On the other hand it applied with the radicals than reactionary in the service of the elite; Karl Marx called it a "“liberal saliva speichellecker"”.

This double resistance, at all a reason for the defeat of the liberalism after the March revolution in Germany, let finally fail Hans man politics. After the retreat from the policy Hans man turned again and created 1851 the Disconto society, which fused 1929 spectacularly with the German bank to the business activity.

Hans man died 1864 with a cure stay in the Taunus. It is appropriate for Kirchhof in Berlin beautiful mountain in the Hans man family burial place on the old pc. -. Its son Adolph from Hans man became one of the richest and most important entrepreneurs of the German Reich, was contrary to his father however no liberal.

This means brings independence, to calming for the life span and the ability to give and in addition useful expenditures to make be able to the children a good education."”
