Dietrich H. Hoppenstedt (* 16 September 1940 in was a president of the German savings bank and Giroverbands.

From 1962 to 1971 Dietrich H studied. Hoppenstedt law and attained a doctorate. Afterwards it worked as an attorney. He was a managing director of the regional organization Lower Saxony of the water and ground units. From 1977 to 1979 Hoppenstedt was a director of upper circle of the district Uelzen. From 1979 to 1983 he was undersecretary of state with the Ministry of Lower Saxony for nutrition, agriculture and forests.

1983 began its work for the savings bank banking syndicate. He was a president of the savings bank and Giroverbands of Lower Saxony. By 1 October 1998 by 30 April 2006 he was a president of the German savings bank and Giroverbandes.

Dietrich H. Hoppenstedt is married and has three children.
