Emil George von Stauss (* 6 October 1877 in Friedrichsthal; "† 11 December 1942 in Berlin) was a German banker.

Life

After its bank teachings Stauss got 1898 an employment with the German bank and already became after short private secretary with George von Siemens. With 28 years Stauss was considerably involved in the establishment of the European petroleum union; at the constituent meeting 1905 one selected it to the first director. Starting from that following year settled it additionally still the oil business of the German bank.

With 38 years one appointed Stauss 1915 into the executive committee of the German bank. In this function he administered the Anatoli railway company during the First World War and operated the far and/or development of the Bagdad course. Probably as thanks for it Stauss was raised 1918 into the nobility.

As a supervisory board chairman von Lufthansa and BMW initiated he in the postwar years the new beginning of the German aircraft industry.

Stauss was engine of the union of the Daimler engine society and the Benz & Cie, Rheini gas engine factory in the year 1926 to Daimler Benz AG.

1932 changed Stauss of the executive committee into the supervisory board of the German bank. Among other things Stauss was in the supervisory boards of Daimler Benz AG, Lufthansa, rhine main danube AG and Ufa.

It had already early contacts to National Socialist Partei.Seit 1930 cooperated it in the politico-economic department of the NSDAP and was member of the NSDAP to however never separate the DVP, used itself there however for the interests of the NSDAP. On 5 October 1930 Adolf Hitler was with it to guest. In December 1930 to be friend became acquainted with Hjalmar pit with a meal in its house Hermann

In the years 1930 to 1932 Stauss represented the NSDAP in German Reichstag and 1934 to its vice-president was selected. As such appointed one it still in the same year to the Prussian Council of State.

Its personal friend was the oil Henri Deterding that likewise close relations with the NSDAP maintained.
