GECAS (GE Commercial aviation service) is an American leasing enterprise for airplanes with seat in Stamford, Connecticut. The society was created 1964.

In range airplane leasing belongs to GECAS to the prominent enterprises. In accordance with an inquiry of the Airfinance journal of 2005 the company is the largest in its range at all.

The enterprise is a subsidiary of GECF (General Electric Commercial Finance), these again is a part general of the Electric company. GECAS belonged often to the Erstkunden for airplane new developments, there many airlines the airplanes only "“test"” want around possible teething troubles of the airplane not to risk.

The fleet consists 2005 of more than 1342 airplanes (inclusive air freighters), most of airbus and Boeing. Nearly the complete fleet is equipped with engines of GE-aviation, another subsidiary company of GE. The average leasing duration amounts to 5 years.
