George Soros (native Soros; * 12 August 1930 in Budapest) is an US-American investment banker and Philantrop of Hungarian origin.

Youth

Despite the Jewish origin of its family Soros survived the German occupation of Hungary and the battle by Budapest. 1946 it fled before the Soviet Okkupation from Hungary into the west and emigrierte 1947 to England. To London School OF Economics and Political Science (LSE) it completed 1952 its study of the economic science. There it studied with Sir Karl Popper, by whose conceptions over an open society it was strongly affected.
