January de Witte was a Dutch banker and financial manager of boiling stone since February 1622. Witte (and its consortium) supplies boiling stone on the credit way with the enormous means, which require its military and political projects, while covering is based in the long run on expectation that on the one hand boiling stone clients (emperors Ferdinand II., Spain) for it can carry security out and contribute on the other hand war booty and Kontributionen to it. When these financial sources triumph after 1628 increasingly, de Witte comes into ever urgent difficulties to satisfy its creditors without encountering with boiling stone support or understanding, so that its banking house breaks down in August 1630 and it makes for its life a little later an end. The bankruptcy de Wittes falls temporally together with the dismissal of boiling stone from the imperial service, without however the two events would have affected each other
