strong (* 31. May 1948 in gau or home) is a chief political economist and member in the board of directors of the European central bank.
From 1968 to 1973 it completed an economiceconomics study at the University of high home and at the Eberhard Karl university and attained a doctorate 1975 to the doctor of the economic science. 1978 to 1988 it was active as an adviser of the department of economic policy in the Federal Ministry for economics. In the years 1988 to 1992 he was director/conductor of the Referats "external trade, money and currency, financial markets" in the Office of the Federal Chancellor. Starting from October 1992 he was director/conductor of the subsection "national monetary policy, capital market politics, Finanzplatz Germany, raising of credit" in the Federal Ministry of finances.
Between 1993 and 1994 he was active as directors/conductors of the department of "international currency and financial relations, financial relations of the EEC in the Federal Ministry of finances. 1995 to 1998 he was undersecretary of state in the Federal Ministry of finances.
Starting from that 1. May 2002 it was responsible in the executive committee of the German Federal Bank for the ranges international relations, revision. Starting from September 1998 vice-president of the German Federal Bank was strong. After Ernst Welteke let his office rest 2004 as President of the Federal Bank, strong up to the order of Axel was weber to the new president of interCIM chairmen of the Federal Bank.
In June 2006 successor Otmar Issings became strong as a board of directors member of the European central bank. Surprisingly he took over also Issings post as a chief political economist of the EZB.
In June 2005 strong was appointed by the economiceconomics faculty of the Eberhard Karl university as the fee professor.
