Joseph Mendelssohn (* 11 August 1770 in Berlin; "† 24 November 1848) was a German banker.

As a son of Moses Mendelssohn it of Joseph angel was educated. With 25 years it created 1795 the banking house Mendelssohn, which it led later together with its brother Abraham (father of Fanny Hensel and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy).
