The Meinl bank AG is one of the most important and largest private banks in Austria. The business fields of the bank are above all institutional and private administration of an estate, as well as fund development and fund management.

History

Originally the saving and credit-purely of the friends & employees of the Julius Meinl AG von Julius Meinl II. were created as cooperative in the year 1923. After this cooperative was liquidated during the third realm, it was again created by Julius Meinl III. 1956. 1969 became the banking house Brunner & CO. Kg bought up, which merged with the saving and credit-purely in the year 1979 into the Meinl bank. At assumption in the year 1983 it succeeded to the line of the Meinl bank by Julius Meinl V. to the bank to expand rapidly into other countries and create many subsidiaries. 1987 were converted the bank into a corporation.
