With Merck Finck & CO, private banker concerns it a German private bank. This became under the name Merck, Christian & Co. on 1 July 1870 as a Kommandite of the bank for trade and industry of Dr. Heinrich Johann Merck and Adolf Karl Ludwig Christian based. 1871 became a past attorney William Finck partner, starting from 1879 firmierte the banking house under Merck, Finck & Co.

The banking house was at the establishment of important enterprises, like the South German soil credit bank AG 1871, the civil brewing house 1880, which alliance insurance AG 1890, which Isarwerke takes part GmbH 1894 and the Munich Trambahn AG.

1924 went the portion to in the meantime ennobled William from Finck at the banking house from almost 100 per cent in equal parts to its son of August von Finck (to sen.) and his daughters free woman Margarete von Stengel and Elisabeth winter stone.

The family of Finck sold the banking house 1990 to the Barclays bank, which further-sold it 1999 to the Kredietbank S.A. Luxembourgeoise (KBL), belonged to that it since.
