The MLP AG (in former times Marschollek, sound racquets and partner AG) is an independent finance broker with seat in pointing hole and offers financial services within the ranges taking precautions, fortune and risk management. Those approximately 2,500 freelance mediator are specialized in certain target groups, with priority university graduates, (in particular the medical profession, lawyers, economists and engineers). In approximately 300 offices over 660.000 customers are cared for.

Firm history

The MLP AG was created on 1 January 1971 by Eicke Marschollek and Manfred sound racquet. The business idea is, selected academic target groups, first lawyers, to already win before its university conclusion as customers and to advise it concerning its financial situation. MLP participates thereby at the rising consulting, plant and precaution need of this clientele in the course of its professional career - and at their rising fortune. Since 1972 the enterprise beside lawyers cares for also the medical profession and the tooth medical profession. 1974 were converted the limited partnership into a GmbH and opened in the consequence offices in Duesseldorf, Wiesbaden, Stuttgart and Bonn. With the transformation into a corporation in the year 1984 the conditions for a stock exchange quotation were created. After new target groups were added such as economists and engineers, the society was acted for the first time on 15 June 1988 at the regulated market of the Stuttgart stock exchange.

At the same time Bernhard took over the line of the operational business. Engineer attained a doctorate was active since 1985 - first as a broker mediator - with MLP. Enterprise founder Manfred sound racquet promoted which brought the enterprise on capital market course. With profit rates of growth and turnover from annually 30 per cent MLP became the favourite of the analysts and investors. 1999 became of chairmen of the board, and Manfred sound racquet changed into the supervisory board. Between 23 July 2001 and that 22.09.2003 the society was listed in the DAX 30.

In the year 2002 the magazine accused stock exchange-on-line to the enterprise balance falsification. The share quotation of the enterprise around 90 per cent in, MLP is since then in the MDAX listed fallow partly. The public prosecutor's office Mannheim took up determinations against the former chairman of the board and two further coworkers of the enterprise, who flowed in December 2004 into the indictment. A procedure was not opened. The accused one accuses the conclusions for 2001 to have falsified. With Factoring and reinsurance agreements profits were pretended, which were not obtained yet at all. MLP submitted appraisals of scientists, who rejected the reproach. It is not finally clarified whether the balance of MLP was legal or not.

In January 2003 Uwe Schroeder Wildberg transferred first the office of the finance executive committee, which had been exercised up to then by in personnel union. At the end of October 2003 withdrew as a chairman of the board of the MLP AG. On 17 December Schroeder Wildberg with effect was appointed 1 January 2004 officially by the supervisory board as a chairman of the board.

Since 1 April 2004 the enterprise with Nile Frowein has a new finance executive committee, which changed German goods trust AG of the BDO to MLP.

To 30 June 2005 the daughters MLP life insurances AG were sold to the HBOS daughter Clerical Medical and the MLP insurance AG at the Gothaer insurance company. A goal was the stabilization of the broker position.

The MLP insurance AG was renamed and firmiert now as Janitos insurance AG. The Janitos insurance AG resumes the business as a broker insurer within the range of the insurances against material damage. The MLP life insurance AG carries now the name Heidelberger life insurance AG. The MLP company consists now of the MLP financial services AG and the MLP bank AG.
