Firm history

Hermann d.„. (1815-1909), branch of an old family of Lower Saxony and son of a physician, were first partner of the 1846 in Hamburg of created trading venture Reimers & . 1855 it - likewise in Hamburg - created the company & Co in right follow-up. Wholesale, world-wide in and export as well as financial transactions were the main columns of this enterprise.

Hermanns son Alwin d.„. (1844-1895) and its grandchild Hermann d.J. (1875-1950) partners of the Familienunterhmens were following. Its great-grandchild Alwin d.J. (1908-1990) isolated after 1968 the various activities of the exempt private company in a trading venture and a private bank.

1969 closed the banking house & CO. with the two banking houses of brothers & CO. and Friedrich Hengst & CO. to the Hamburg private bank SMH Mnchmeyer, Hengst & CO. together, whose became personally responsible partner 1997 were taken over the bank of the UBS.

The trading firm & CO. fused 1972 with that Hamburg company R. Petersen & Co. to the MPC Petersen & CO., late MPC Capital AG.
