OSCAR Schlitter (* 10 January 1868 in Lennep, " 30 November 1939 in Berlin) was a German banker.
After bank teachings with the Wuppertaler Bergisch bank Schlitter occurred 1890 the Essener Credit institute and 1901 as the executive committee was appointed there. 1906 became Schlitter executive committee of the German bank, changed however already 1908 again as a general manager to the Bergisch bank. 1912 it returned to the executive committee of the German bank and was substantially involved in - for conditions at that time very large - the fusion of the Bergischen bank with the German bank 1914.
Schlitter was involved in the structure and the financing of the rheinisch heavy industry and the German machine and electrical industry as well as the concentration of the German insurance economy after the collapse in the Weimar Republic.
It was supervisory board of the Germanof Luxembourg mine and hut-gnaws, the Gelsenkirchener Bergwerks-AG, the RWE, which takes part AG for mining industry and hut enterprise, with man man and in the establishment of the united steel plants. From 1933 to 1939 he was a supervisory board chairman of the German bank.
