The Rheini bank AG was German Kreditinstitut with seat in at the Ruhr, late meals.
It developed 1897 from that 1833 for created banking house Gustav Hanau and firmierte until 1900 under Rheini bank pre-mounts Gustav Hanau. The establishment head office was at the Ruhr. Branches of the bank were in Duisburg, Neuss and Meiderich.
A goal of the establishment was the creation of a financially strong bank for the financing of the local heavy industry. Founders were Gustav Hanau, its son Leo Hanau, August Thyssen, Victor Weidtmann and the AG for mining industry. Own capital funds amounted to 5 million Marks. The supervisory board was prominent occupied - for example with August Thyssen (Thyssen & CO.), Hugo Stinnes, Waldemar Mueller (Dresden bank) and Carl Roesch (property hope hut).
1898 took place the stock exchange course, already 1902 were the bank - five years after establishment - via credit losses at the edge of the bankruptcy, which could be turned away only by a close support to the Dresdens bank. 1905 closed the bank additionally a community of interests with the A. Schaaffhausen' bank association, took over its Essener branch and shifted the seat after meals.
1915 came up the Rheini bank in the Disconto society, after this had already taken over one year before the A. Schaaffhausen' bank association.
