The savings bank banking syndicate is a group of credit institutes in Germany, to which predominantly publicly organized credit institutes in Germany belong. The savings bank banking syndicate essentially consists of that members in the following specified (conditions July 2004):

• To 477 savings banks, including 7 "“free"” savings banks, see list of the savings banks
• 11 Landesbank
• DekaBank
• 11 national building societies
• 36 public insurance companies (Provinzial, Versicherungskammmer Bavaria, VHG)
• 7 leasing companies,
• 2 Factoring societies
• German savings banks publishing house GmbH
• 3 computing centres (savings banks computer science, FinanzIT, IZB SOFT)
• 4 management consultation companies (OSKB, GSC, S-Consult, snc Bavaria)

The group of companies of the savings bank banking syndicate enclosure altogether about 700 enterprises with approximately 390,000 coworkers and exhibits a balance sheet total of approximately 3.3 trillion euro, cumulated.
